DEWALT Introduces National Power Tool Battery Recycling Month

DEWALT recently announced National Power Tool Battery Recycling Month during the month of October.  Throughout the month, users who recycle any power tool battery at one of DEWALT’s 87 service centers will receive a $10 discount on battery purchases.

“Recycling batteries is environmentally responsible and we are dedicated to making this program a success,” said Jason McNeil, DEWALT product manager.

Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) and Lithium Ion (Li-ion) batteries from any manufacturer will be accepted at any of the service centers across the nation. The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC), provided DEWALT with recycling bins for the event and will collect and recycle the batteries through its Call2Recycle® program.

DEWALT has collected more than 3,792,000 pounds of rechargeable batteries to date.
