Rhode Island Sets Recycling Goals for Annual Race

The annual CVS Caremark Downtown 5K comes to Providence this weekend, and the city has partnered with Waste Management to provide recycling options for the expected 12,000 attendees.

The Providence Department of Public Works is providing 30 recycling bins for drink containers. The city expects to recycle over 15,000 cardboard boxes that will hold T-shirts.

The race will take place this Sunday starting at 8 a.m. Find out where to recycle bottles and cans in your area using Earth911.
