New Ad Campaign Promotes Benefits of Glass Recycling

The Glass Packaging Institute (GPI) will launch a new ad campaign this fall called PURE, which will promote the health benefits of glass packaging over other materials.

Among the points to be made during the campaign, one message that will be emphasized is that glass containers are infinitely recyclable. Beyond this, recycling glass is a relatively fast process: a glass container can go from the recycling bin to the grocery shelf in as little as 30 days.

The GPI has not announced yet where or for how long the campaign will run. GPI is also planning the inaugural “Recycle Glass Day” for December 10.
