DC Provides Recycling Bins on Streets
Downtown Washington DC is going green by adding some blue, as in 25 blue bins where people can drop off their paper and drink containers for recycling.
The bins are in highly trafficked areas of the city between Judiciary and McPhearson Squares, and are part of a six-month pilot program set up by the city and the American Beverage Association. Bins will be single-stream, and accept:
- Clean paper
- Aluminum cans
- Glass bottles
- Plastic bottles
