Recycling Used Motor Oil Saves Big Bucks for Vermont Company

Markowski Excavating, Inc. handles residential, commercial and industrial site development and construction. The fleet of excavators, tri-axle trucks and bulldozers creates an abundance of used motor oil. In the past 12 years, more than 60,000 gallons of used-oil has been recycled on site, saving the company big bucks. The oil generates free heat and the company avoids paying someone else to transport the used oil to another facility.
Clean Burn manufactures three types of used-oil furnaces for different sized operations. The large volume used-oil furnace used by Markowski Excavating is “a workhorse that has paid for itself five times over since we installed it,” according to David Markowski, vice president.
