Americans spend about 4 percent of their take-home income on gasoline.
Wise refueling will limit evaporation, save money and help the environment.
- When it’s hot, refuel early or late in the day
- Use pumps with vapor-recovery nozzles (the black accordion things)
- Make sure gas cap is screwed on tightly
