Plastics One Through Seven Accepted in Larimer County, CO
Larimer County now has the broadest plastic recycling program in the state of Colorado, reports the Coloradoan.
All plastic food and beverage containers, numbers one through seven, will be accepted by the curbside program. These include:
- Beverage bottles
- Food tubs
- Nalgene and similar bottles
- Buckets and pails
- Plant containers
- Plastic lids that snap on
- Personal care, prescription, vitamin and household product containers
Items need to be cleaned and completely free of food debris. They should be clearly marked with a number one through seven inside the chasing arrows.
Unacceptable plastics:
- Containers larger than 2 1/2 gallons
- Plastic caps that screw on
- Styrofoam
- Plastic bags
- Automotive and pesticide containers
- Microwaveable food trays
- Plastic cutlery
