Recycle Cell Phones for World Refugee Day

Donating your cell phone from now through October can save more than just landfill space.

A new partnership between Tents of Hope and ECO-CELL will donate money for each phone recycled to help refugees in Darfur, Sudan. The partnership will launch on Saturday, which is World Refugee Day.

In addition to drop-off locations in many U.S. states, you can mail in phones to ECO-Cell to raise money for Tents of Hope. The campaign will culminate from November 6-9 with a celebration in Washington D.C.

Can’t find a cell phone drop-off location in your area? Use Earth 911’s recycling locator to recycle your cell phone.
