EPA Educates on Summer Cooling

Just in time for summer, the EPA has launched an effort designed to help program your thermostat, saving hundreds on cooling bills as well as reducing energy use.

The new site provides simple tips and resources for staying cool while remaining green this summer. It is presented in partnership with ENERGY STAR.

If you decide to buy a new air conditioner to maximize energy use, make sure you recycle your old one. Use Earth 911’s recycling locator to find drop-off locations near you.
