Computers, cell phones, televisions and other electronic devices will be accepted free of charge Wednesday through Saturday in Norfolk, Virginia.

The event is open for all Hampton Roads residents, businesses, schools and other organizations with unwanted electronics. Groups with bulk loads are to unload Wednesday through Friday, while residents with smaller amounts are asked to come on Saturday, according to the Virginian-Pilot.

The event is sponsored by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and Apple Inc. is “picking up the tab,” according to the article. A Massachusetts contractor, Metech International, will haul away and recycle all the materials.

Items can be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at a manned parking lot at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, at the corner of 43rd Street and Powhatan Boulevard.
