by Earth 911 on March 31st, 2008
Looking to recycle your obsolete electronics for free in the San Francisco Bay Area? Now that there are 70 GREENspot locations in the area, most Bay Area households can find a drop-off site within five miles of their house.
These locations can be found from Redding to Fresno, and accept:
- Televisions
- Cell phones
- Audio-video components
- Computer equipment
- Microwave ovens
- Electronic equipment from offices and labs
Since opening 49 GREENspot e-waste drop-off locations at the end of January, ASL Recycling has diverted more than 1,300 tons of e-waste away from local landfills.
ASL Recycling offers drop-off locations, community events and a pick-up option for proper disposal of electronic devices. If you live outside of Northern California and wish to recycle electronics, find out where you can using Earth 911’s recycling locator.
