Envision 2050
by Earth 911 on February 28th, 2008
Do you have a vision of your city in the year 2050? For middle and high school students, the opportunity to illustrate this vision could result in prizes including scholarships worth $4,250 each.
Urban Re:Vision is putting on the Envision 2050 competition for students grades six through 12. Participants will create a 24″x 36″ poster or high-resolution photo that presents their ideas on the cities of the future with a focus on sustainability, reduced carbon emissions and the balance between environment and nature.
Organizers are encouraging the use of recycled and recyclable materials in poster design. All poster designs are due by May 15, and the winners (seven in all) will be announced on June 1. For more information and rules, visit the Envision 2050 site.
