Las Vegas Motor Speedway to Begin Recycling
by Earth 911 on February 11th, 2008
Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) will have a green twist to its 2008 NASCAR Weekend this year, as the speedway and its food/beverage provider will feature aluminum can recycling bins for those in attendance.
The LVMS is also switching from plastic bottles to aluminum cans for its beverages, providing more potential recyclables during the races from Feb. 29-March 2. The recycling effort is expected to continue for future events at the speedway.
The speedway will post the locations of the recycling bins on its website soon. Planned recycling efforts in future years may include plastics bottles, paper and cups.
