HP Finds New Way to Recycle Old Plastic

The Corvallis Gazette Times reports that Hewlett-Packard is using recycled plastic to make up a majority of the material in its inkjet cartridges, already resulting in 200 million recycled content cartridges.
The cartridges are produced using plastic recycled from water bottles and used cartridges, and HP is using over 70 percent recycled plastic in these products. The company used over five million pounds of recycled plastic in cartridges last year.
HP is able to combine different forms of plastic to create a stable material for use in various technical applications.
