ReCycle North forms partnership with Lowe’s

The Burlington Free Press reports that Vermont-based ReCycle North will be refurbishing and redistributing appliances from the South Burlington Lowe’s store and donating them to low-income families.

The partnership will include dented and scratched washers and dryers as well as refrigerators and freezers. The damaged appliances will be worked on at ReCycle North, and if they are fixed they will be donated through a voucher system.

Lowe’s currently donates lumber and construction supplies to ReCycle North, which has 15 to 20 other business partners in the area. To find out how to recycle household appliances in your area, use the recycling locator search at the top of this page.
