Caught Green Handed Program Launched in Ohio
Residents of Lawrence-Scioto County in Southern Ohio have the potential for 15 minutes of fame thanks to a new program called “Caught Green Handed” that randomly rewards people for recycling in the county.
Staff from the Lawrence-Scioto County Solid Waste Management District (LSSWMD) will visit two sites per month that have a LSSWMD bin and look for recyclers, with winners receiving a goodie bag, a $25 gift card and their picture in the local newspapers and the LSSWMD site.
The LSSWMD has already had residents call in asking about where they can be “spotted” in the future.
