Take Action: Recycle

Now that you’ve read about the importance of recycling, here are some good links and activities to check out and increase your involvement on the issue.
- Each member of “The Big Five” has one or more organizations with more dedicated information and resources on these materials
- Learn more about the History of Plastics
- Here’s a few projects for reusing your plastic before you recycle it:
- The Recycle Guys have activity sheets to learn more about recycling different products, how it is done and what they are recycled into
- Play the EPA Recycle City Game
- Check out the play “Trash Tawkin,” the story of four recyclable trash items that have human characteristics; a downloadable excerpt from Act I is available here
