Boomers Discover That It’s Easy Being Green

USA Today features the results of a new AARP survey that shows there are 40 million baby boomers who have adopted green initiatives such as buying organic as part of their daily lifestyle.

Baby boomers represent the large generation in the history of the U.S. (79 million), and more than half are showing environmental concerns. However, price is a factor as less than a third of those surveyed are willing to pay more for organic products.

Another interesting statistic from the survey is that a higher percentage of boomers earning less than $50,000 a year consider themselves than those with incomes of more than $150,000 a year.
