University of Idaho Students Recycle Household Items
KLEW features the efforts of the University of Idaho to keep student furniture and appliances out of dumpsters through a program called the Sustainable Campus Move-Out Team, which promotes reuse and recycling of these household products.
The University invested more than $10,000 to begin the program, and set up tents around campus for students to drop off their items. So far, about 60 to 70 percent of the items were clothing.
