U-Haul Offers Holiday Box Reuse Programs

U-Haul is providing two programs for the holiday season to promote the reuse of boxes: the Take a Box/Leave a Box Program and the U-Haul Box Exchange.

Take a Box/Leave a Box allows consumers free drop-off and pick-up at U-Haul locations throughout North America of boxes that can be used for wrapping holiday gifts. The Box Exchange Program allows consumers to log on and post available boxes or see what boxes are available in their area.

“Whether it’s computer boxes or boxes for big-screen TVs, the popular presents for Christmas are the same items that many of our customers will need to pack up for moving or storage,” stated Bob Wesson, vice president of U-Haul Center Sales and Operations Support. “With every reuse of a box, you not only keep a new box from being manufactured, you also reduce the emissions and costs associated with the recycling process.”
