Colorado Treecycling Begins December 31, 2007

Associated Content reports that New Years Eve marks the start of Colorado’s annual Treecycling campaign, which will last until January 11, 2008 and produces mulch that is given back to residents for free in the spring.

The annual program recycles more than 22,000 trees per year. Residents must remove decorations and tree stands and then lay the trees near their trash containers. They will be collected during the normal trash pick-up days and recycled.

For more information, visit the Denver Recycles Web site. To find a Christmas tree recycling location in your area, use the Earth 911 recycling locator search at the top of this page.
