67% Of Consumers Willing To Pay More For Green Power
Environmental Leader features the results of a new survey showing that consumers in Australia, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, the UK and the U.S. are willing to pay more for eco-friendly energy, in some cases as much as 50 percent more.
Of the six countries, the U.S. showed the largest number willing to pay up to 20 percent more for green energy. However, almost half of those surveyed had no idea whether their local utility company offers renewable energy alternatives.
The survey was conducted by IBM Global Business Services to show changes in customer expectations regarding energy for the next five to 10 years. To see full results, click here. For more energy news, check out Earth 911’s Energy archive.
