Goodwill took in 23 million pounds of electronics in 2004. Get a new computer? Donate the old one to a second-hand shop to give it another life. Here’s how:
- Make sure the computer still works (otherwise, recycle it)
- Find a Goodwill or Salvation Army location using Earth911.com
- Format your hard drive to make sure private information isn’t reused as well
