New Poll Says Europeans Better Environmental Citizens Than Americans

CNN Money showcases the results of a new survey conducted by two European firms showing that Europeans are 50 percent more likely than Americans to buy green products.

The survey also shows that Europeans are 25 percent more likely to recycle than their American counterparts. The survey was conducted in eight different European countries and polled a total of 16,000 people.

The results were compared with similar questions posed to an American audience, although it is not made clear how many Americans were polled to get these comparison numbers. The survey also only released numbers based on comparing the U.S. and Europe, not evaluating the green movement of Europe on its own.

Other polls will obviously disagree with these findings, but every new environmental survey taken puts more emphasis on the importance of green initiatives.
