This CNN Money release discusses Plastinum Polymer Technologies’ commitment to opening recycling facilities in America devoted exclusively to e-waste. Plastinum’s goal is to open five locations by 2010 that will facilitate full e-waste recycling for the first time.

E-waste is a major recycling issue because it is primarily made of plastic components and virtually un-recyclable. While retailers like Staples and Apple Store are taking these items in, the majority are being stored and not yet safe from entering landfills.
