Practice Grasscycling

Grass clippings are 75 to 85 percent water.
Those clippings can help your lawn. When you mow, leave short clippings on the lawn or use them in compost. It reduces your water use and you won’t have to purchase fertilizer.
- Never cut more than 1/3 of the grass blade in one mowing
- Mow when the grass is dry
- If the grass gets too high, mow over the clippings a second time to further shred and scatter them
