At Earth911.com he develops new business relationships and oversees the brand direction of the company.
Jason Ayers
Chief Technology Officer
Jason has over 15 years of experience as a usability expert, software architect and web developer. Jason serves as the lead for all technology and product development innovations. He is also focused on the international expansion of the Earth911.com and 1-800-CLEANUP recycling locator search.
Prior to joining the Earth911.com executive team, Jason owned and operated Manmade Software and Ovum Design, technology consulting companies specializing in usability for both interactive and online software for serveral years. An Arizona native, Jason created and led the first professional web development operation out of Arizona in 1993. He worked as a graphic designer in print and pre-press in the early 90’s before shifting to the web.
Karl Zeidler
Director of Finances & Controller
Karl has over 27 years of experience as a Controller and financial executive, serving in these roles with companies including World Capital, LLC, visitalk.com, ProductExpress.com, Inc and Halmar Construction Co.
He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in accounting from Farleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford, New Jersey. Karl oversees financial operations with Earth911.com.
Francine Hardaway, Ph.D.
Vice President of Social Strategies
Francine is an experienced technology marketing strategist, a former Entrepreneurial Fellow at the Berger Center of the Eller School of Business, University of Arizona and a former Advisory Board of the Medical Informatics Program at Arizona School of Health Sciences. She is currently a partner in Stealthmode Partners, and previously built the largest marketing/public relations firm in Phoenix. Before starting Stealthmode Partners, Francine was VP of Marketing for Innovative Environmental Products.
Francine’s interest in the environment goes back to the ’70s when she built a geodesic dome home with solar heating, cooked in a solar oven and grew an organic garden. She is in charge of all social media outreach for Earth911.com, and also uses her experience writing and blogging to provide content for Earth911.com.
Derrick Mains
Vice President of Energy Reclamation Initiatives
For more than 15 years, Derrick has worked in developing sales management programs that are customized to changing markets. For the past six years, he has focused on organizations that are redeveloping and redeploying their sales efforts or changing strategic directions in order to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Derrick is the point-person for Earth911.com industry-specific coalitions. He has been the catalyst on the Used Motor Oil Coalition (UMOC) which is a partnership between oil companies, collectors, industry associations, retailers, The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Earth911.com to promote reclamation of the millions of gallons of used motor oil that goes uncollected from “do-it-yourself” oil changers each year.
In recent years, Derrick became “eco-conscious,” converted to vegetarianism and became determined to make an impact on the environment through his lifestyle and experiences.
Anne Reichman
Program Director
Anne has been with Earth911.com since 1999 and coordinates the program, and expansion of content, data and outreach for both Earth911.com and the 1-800-CLEANUP phone hotline.
For almost two decades, Anne has been involved in both the public and private sectors of the recycling industry and her expertise spans the areas of hazardous waste and remediation, environmental education and litter prevention. She speaks at environmental conferences across the country and was recently a featured expert on the Sundance Channel’s “Big Ideas for a Small Planet” episode on recycling. Anne is also a contributing author to the recently published book, Handbook on Household Hazardous Waste.
Anne is a Midwestern gal, holding a business degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is a die-hard Nebraska Cornhusker fan (Go Big Red!) and, yes, she can drive a tractor!
Sandra Keil
Government Relations Director
Sandra comes to Earth911.com after working as a policy advisor to the Vice Chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources in the House of Representatives. During her time in Washington DC, she developed and negotiated numerous environmental and energy policies that were signed into law and are in effect today. She has a degree in Environmental Science from Utah State University.
Sandra develops and maintains relationships with government entities on behalf of Earth911.com, including the Environmental Protection Agency and state recycling coordinators. She also speaks at conferences and events as a representative of Earth911.com.
Larry Cummings
Project Manager & Analyst
Larry is a veteran systems analyst who started out doing software development for the Naval Research Lab and ERADCOM before selling virtual web servers in Arizona. He has helped launch many successful Web properties, managed projects for mobile application solutions that combined entertainment, sports and mobile devices and re-purposed mainframe applications to be usable by the blind and visually impaired.
Larry’s role with Earth911.com is to oversee internal development projects, and he is the technical lead for partner projects.
Raquel Fagan
Executive Editor
Raquel has over three years of experience in the nonprofit sector, including work in animal welfare and with the disability community. She has a degree in English Literature and Women Studies from Arizona State University.
Raquel has lived a vegan lifestyle since 2002, drives a hybrid car and maintains a compost system in her backyard. She oversees the day-to-day content of Earth911.com and maintains relationships with content partners. She also helps determine the look and feel of the Earth911.com site and user experience.
Trey Granger
Fulfillment & Public Relations Manager
Trey has a background in cause marketing and public relations along with experience in numerous forms of media around the United States, including White House Special Events coverage for CBS News in Washington, D.C. He holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University. He also drives a hybrid when he’s not walking to work.
With Earth911.com, Trey handles media inquiries and maintains relationships with national media covering environmental issues. He also facilitates the fulfillment for Earth911.com partners.
Bob Peeples
Beaches 911 Program Manager
Bob has 25 years of environmental experience and education, and is the owner and operator of Legacy Environmental Services, LLC in Phoenix since 1989. He has managed environmental programs for Allied-Signal Aerospace and the U.S. Postal Service in Phoenix, and was also an engineer in the Water Pollution Compliance Department of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
Bob maintains the Beaches 911 database, which provides daily beach water quality reports for over 2,200 beaches in the United States. In addition, he writes a weekly article on Earth911.com entitled Power to the Peeples, blending his knowledge of the environment and unique sense of humor to both educate and entertain you.
